ONE-ON-ONE WORK
Begin with your story.
Move toward your life.
An intentional process for understanding what keeps repeating and creating more choice in how you move forward.
First, tell me a little about you.
Your intake introduces who you are, what you want to change, the persona you most identify with, and your answers to four opening questions. I review it before we arrange a conversation.
Then, a conversation about what matters.
We talk about your goals, objectives, desires, pain, suffering, and struggles. There is room for your questions about working together and the kind of support you are looking for.
The first clinical session: typically two hours.
For clinical work, you prepare a timeline of your whole life. We review the punctuation marks: grief and success, sorrow and opportunity, life changes, relationships, and experiences of trauma.
Alongside your timeline, an extensive psychosocial interview helps us explore your history and current context. We begin identifying possible core wounds and how the meanings attached to them may shape your familiar patterns.
From understanding to practice.
We use what emerges to guide the work ahead. That may mean questioning a belief, expressing a need, changing a relationship pattern, or practicing a response that supports the life you want.
FOUR QUESTIONS TO BEGIN
What are you ready for?
- Are you tired of suffering and ready for something to change?
- Can you see that you have the capacity for change?
- Are you willing to invest the time, energy, and resources this work will ask of you?
- Do you believe you deserve a life of joy, peace, purpose, happiness, and love?
My answer to that last question is yes.
You can answer honestly, including where you feel uncertain.
YOUR NEXT CHAPTER
You don’t have to have
all the words yet.
Tell me who you are, what feels familiar, and what you want to change. We can begin there.
